Hike to Guma Waterfall

The sound of rushing water excites visitors as they near the Gumbeh Town Fall, a cascading waterfall defined as Liberia’s tallest. The Fall is a hidden gem that looks like a long, beautiful curtain in the midst of the jungle. The pathway to the fall is rich with biodiversity, a beautiful landscape featuring interesting and unique rock formations and farms, all covered in the dense rainforest of Gbarpolu. The quaint, clean and beautiful Gumbeh Town is the home of the Fall; and there you can experience life in a traditional village where you might see women weaving baskets or, if lucky, meet the 130 years old Mrs. Massaquoi. Campers are welcome to set up tents at the waterfall for an amazing overnight experience or swim the white sandy river of the Fall.
